Chapter Chapter 4 in Software Reliability Assessment with OR Applications, 2011, pp 131-170 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Software development is a very complex and dynamic process. Every phase of software development can be further divided into a number of sub-phases, where each sub-phase has its own contribution to the software development process. Lot many activities are involved in each phase/sub-phase. Detailed study of each activity of this development process requires building an understanding of the various associated philosophies, theories and concepts. Same is true for the software testing phase and quality measurement.
