Abstract:
Abstract A real-time system is said to be operational if it performs its functions correctly and in a timely manner. Performing function correctly is a dependent on healthiness of its constituent components and error free operation of communication links. Ensuring timeliness is dependent upon the delay offered at various stages of node and communication links of the system. So, reliability of a real-time system can be defined as a probabilistic measure of performing correct function and timeliness in the given environment for given amount of time.
