Chapter Chapter 2 in Digital Maintenance Management, 2022, pp 13-22 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Many companies in our environment are still reading about the value of new technologies for the industry, however many others are already taking advantage of industry 4.0 technologies, reducing their risk in asset management, and responding more quickly to the business demands. The fact is that many Industry 4.0 technologies are at a point where they really start to makesense for industrial applications. As discussed later, maintenance can be one of the industrial areas most favored by the introduction of new technologies. This opportunity cannot be missed, and it is therefore the responsibility of the maintenance engineers and managers to study thepossible implementation of these technologies.
