Chapter Chapter 5 in Maintainability of Building Envelope Elements, 2023, pp 117-189 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Since the parameters used to assess the influence of the maintenance strategies on the buildings’ envelope elements are interdependent, the constructive solutions’ advantages and disadvantages change according to the parameters analysed. To assess the constructive solutions in a global way, multi-objective strategies are implemented to optimize the outcomes and aid the decision-makers in the decision process. A multi-criteria decision analysis is implemented to compare the different maintenance strategies, while a multi-objective optimization is used to optimize the inspections’ frequencies.
