Abstract ATEXWorkplace legislation (shaped from the French “ATmosphères EXplosibles”) is the name commonly given to the two EU directives aiming to control the risks caused by explosive atmospheres: Directive 1999/92 (ATEX Workplace directive) and Directive 2014/34 (ATEX Equipment directive).
