Abstract:
Roman law was an important cornerstone for current law systems, being considered "the basis of civil law" in Romanian law. In the contemporary period, Roman law is being studied to provide a better understanding of the origins of certain institutions and law processes, thus enriching the general culture, especially in the legal field of the future jurist. This is the reason for choosing this essay theme.
