Abstract:
The catalan scholar system transformation registered huge changes in a relative short period of time. If no new didactic pressures form the Govern of Madrid will occur (thou already visible through financial and economic limitations and legislative impediments), along with the positive aspect of the bilingual spread in all society sectors, there is thou a risk of a too rigid normativity, which can be seen in the eagerness of the teachers to spread a new standard language. In what concerns the Catalonian independence proclamation, the Catalan leader Carles Puigemont acted according to its demands and for the Catalonian people he was leading. In its majority, the Catalonian people wanted to separate from the Spanish Government. Even so, Carles Puigemont chose to friendly negotiate with the Spanish Government’s representatives, only to cancel its independence declaration in the end. This decision was terribly lamented thereafter. Even if the terms of a political armistice were respected by the Catalans, the Spanish Government didn’t react well regarding this decision.
