Abstract: The condition of Sverdlovsk area alcohol market is considered in the article. The causes and conditions promoting this sphere in shadow turnover are analyzed. The evaluation of the volume of taxable base, which is in shadow turnover, is given, and the measures, which should lead to the real positive changes in the sphere of alcohol production manufacturing and turnover, are suggested.
