Abstract:
In this review health is regarded in the Quality of Life (QOL) concept context. Definitions of health that go beyond other components of national well-being and allow to use it as the QOL indicator are distinguished. Systemic approaches to health estimation, their benefits and shortcomings are analyzed. We propose to use birth rate, newborn, infant and maternal mortality as the most important indicators.
