The foreign theories of the regional economic growth and development

Abstract: In the article main foreign theories and models of the regional economic growth and development are considered. Directions and schools of theory of spatial growth are systematized, their contents are revealed, main factors are determined, and first of all – spatial factors of the growth and development, strong and weak sides of these theories and of models are chosen from position of their possible practical application in real Russian conditions.
