Sustainable development in the region: innovation, competitiveness and economic security

Abstract: The issue of sustainable socio-economic systems of different hierarchical levels, including the region, includes an extensive list of issues. The task of stimulating innovative activity, improving the competitiveness of the economy, while ensuring its security and stability occupy a special place among these issues. This paper analyzes the place and role of these processes to achieve sustainable socio-economic development. The author's theoretical approach to assessing the relationship of processes of innovation, competitiveness, maintain the economic security of the region and ensure its sustainable socio-economic development, based on the analysis of the leading Russian scientific schools in this area is presented.
