Abstract:
Childcare is an essential investment in human capital, both for early childhood development andfor advancing female labor force participation. In Bangladesh, there are three primary priorities for thesector- (1) Access and affordability; (2) Quality; and (3) Care at home. This note provides policy and program lessonsalong these three priorities based on a review of childcare and early childhood development models globally.
