Abstract: Nach dem drastischen Einbruch des 2. Halbjahres 2008 beruhigte sich die internationale Wirtschaftslage im II. Quartal 2009. Auch in Österreich schrumpfte das BIP gegenüber der Vorperiode real um nur mehr 0,4% (nach –2,7% im I. Quartal). Eine weitere Verbesserung kündigen die Vertrauensindiktoren für das III. Quartal an. Dennoch dürfte die internationale Konjunkturlage noch auf längere Sicht fragil bleiben.
