Abstract:
In the management of R&D, methodologies and tools to facilitate and improve the performance of various R&D activities come and go. Sometimes methodologies disappear because they were not good enough to withstand the tough industrial environment and its high demands on industrial usability. Sometimes methodologies are introduced in companies with good results but do receive further attention or a “company champion” to keep them alive when new promising tools emerge and are promoted by company R&D management.
