Abstract: We compare creativity by experts and non-experts. Experts are more expensive, and hence, for a given budget, one has to often choose between recruiting few experts or many non-experts to find a creative solution to a task. In our set-up, we find that the best solution offered by few non-experts was better than the one offered by an expert.
