Solid Waste Generation in Europe: Study of Affecting Factors Using Panel Data

Abstract: The factors that affect the quantity of solid waste inside the EU-28 but also in Switzerland and Norway for the period 1995 to 2014 are examined with the help of econometric model study based on panel data. The correlation between the quantity of solid waste generated and various factors is examined thoroughly and a separate reference of the consequences of the economic crisis on the quantity of the produced solid waste is presented. The results of the model study will be the basis for drawing conclusions of this article.
