Revisiting the Area
George Chryssochoidis
Chapter 7 in Rolling Out New Products Across International Markets, 2004, pp 166-185 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The original research project commenced in 1993 and was completed in the mid to late 1990s. Nonetheless, time flies by. Both theory developed and empirical findings have been exposed to the world; I (with Veronica Wong) conducted additional analyses, thus refining our thinking on the subject; and comments and criticisms have been thankfully received. Interestingly, the business press continued to report problems of rollout delays — the Mercedes A class delayed rollout has been a prime example during this period (Wong, 2002). This is an indication that the topic is still important for businesses. I commerce revisiting the area with an overview of progress in the literature.
