Chapter Chapter 14 in Divestitures and Spin-Offs, 2018, pp 145-156 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Global deals present global challenges. A divestiture with many countries in scope requires significant effort by human resources (HR) and many other corporate functions to successfully manage these specific global challenges. This often includes the managing of diverse compensation policies, foreign and domestic regulations, and union and other collective labor contracts, as well as organizing (and at times reorganizing) the transaction across different cultures. Significant time and effort is required to coordinate the divestiture across multiple countries, employee populations, and jurisdictions.
