Abstract: Abstract While academic leaders are under pressure to expand partnerships and acquisition of financial support, a main area of partnering has become companies. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a powerful interface that the business world provides to higher education for vital resources if planned and managed well with appropriate mutual goals. Mindful leadership is valuable to plan, orchestrate, and reflect on actions including those relating to inter-organizational behavior, which is highly visible. To be successful, higher education leaders need to utilize mindfulness to manage and leverage win–win relationships.
