A chapter in Business Success in Africa, 2024, pp 345-351 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Sub-Saharan Africa has faced numerous challenges throughout history. Nevertheless, the region has also seen positive developments such as economic growth, regional integration efforts, and improvements in governance. Financing plays a crucial role in facilitation business in Africa. Export credit guarantees have become important tools for facilitating trade and mitigating financial risks. However, countries in Sub-Saharan Africa have different levels of eligibility for official export credits, with some countries requiring alternative financing solutions. Over the past decades, other factors such as the assessment of environmental and social aspects have become another key driver of financing processes and will need to be addressed adequately.
