Strategies for Managing Continuity and Change

Professor Sushil ()

from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Strategies for confluence of continuity and change could be generated by understanding delicate balance of continuity and change forces. Continuity and change forces, as discussed in the previous chapters, would be different for different industries and business organizations. In order to map the position of an industry or enterprise with respect to these forces, a continuity–change (C–C) matrix is developed giving a new typology of industries and strategies. Based on various continuity–change combinations in C–C matrix, flexible strategies for managing them are elaborated in this chapter. It is also supported by reflecting how continuity and change have been treated in well-known existing strategic frameworks.
