Abstract: Abstract Digital products and services are part of our everyday life. With increasing digital competence, users’ awareness and expectations rise. They engage intensively with the expected product benefits—even before downloading or registering. The user experience (short UX) during product use has an increasingly significant influence on the decision for or against a product. Many companies have recognized this and invest specifically in a good user experience of their products. They employ UX teams and various UX specialists who are dedicated to researching and designing the best user experience every day. However, product managers often lack clarity on how the individual disciplines in a UX team interact and how best to use a UX team in product development. Therefore, this article builds a basic understanding of the importance of UX, the individual UX disciplines, and the best integration of UX teams.
