Abstract:
The paper deals with household saving and portfolio allocation in Hungary during the economic transformation. It describes the available assets, their structural characteristics, and the level of real and financial wealth accumulation during the last two decades. Special attention is paid to the impact of the reforms of the financial system and other important factors in the economic transformation.
