Abstract:
"More and more tasks can be automated with the help of modern technologies. Up to now, men in Germany are potentially more affected than women: 40 percent of men work in occupations with a high substitution potential, compared to 27 percent of women. However, in some occupational fields, the tasks performed by women have on average a higher substitution potential than the tasks performed by men. It remains an open question as to whether gender inequality in the labour market will reduce or even worsen with increasing digitalisation." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
