Abstract: A bankok versenyképességének elemzésére elterjedt hagyományos módszerek (SWOT-, CAMEL-elemzés) helyett ez a tanulmány az árazásban, a kamatokban és a kamatrés alakulásában tükröződő piaci viselkedésre összpontosít. E tényezők megváltozását vizsgálva a kilencvenes évek első felében, a szerzőpáros arra keresi a választ, hogy hogyan erősödött a bankok közötti verseny, és ez hogyan hatott a bankok viselkedésére és teljesítményére.
