Abstract: Abstract The chapter introduces and defines the concept of crisis and crisis management, highlighting the crucial role of crisis communication within this process. Through an extensive review of the existing literature, the main theoretical frameworks developed over time and the fundamental objectives that crisis communication is called upon to achieve are examined. The chapter also presents the different crisis communication strategies available, identifying the most relevant and effective ones about the various types and characteristics of crises that organisations may face.
