Chapter Chapter 7 in Family Firms in Transition, 2012, pp 59-70 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This case was researched and developed by Alex Galindo and was written under the supervision of Alan Carsrud and Malin Brännback. The names in this case have been changed, but the facts presented are based on a real family firm in Puerto Rico. This case examines the transition of an entrepreneurial firm to a family-owned one. It discusses the issues of what happens when there is planning for starting a firm and later having family involvement in the firm.
