The method chosen for the research is based on structured questionnaire survey sent to all head of internal audit of top 21 largest private companies in Kosovo and conducted several interviews with them. Based on responses received, the role of internal auditor in the risk management is perceived to be very important, but first there are many activities within the company which must be improved to have fully functional audit department. Further, results show that internal auditors understand the concept of risk management but restricted access from business owners to core and confidential information, inexperienced internal audit staff, insufficient funds allocated to develop internal audit department, and lack of management interest are barriers that leads to improper performance of internal audit in risk management and non-functional internal audit. As the role of internal audit in the private sector in Kosovo has been very rarely empirically examined, this study attempts to contribute to future studies that relate to a very important issue such as risk management pp. 146-154 Hysen Ismajli, Mimoza Guda Ferati and Agon FeratiUnemployment and Economic Growth in Nigeria in the 21st Century: VAR Approach pp. 155-168 Olawunmi Omitogun and Adedayo Emmanuel LongeOil Price Shocks and Economic Performance in Africa’s Oil Exporting Countries pp. 169-188 Mathew Ekundayo Rotimi and Harold NgalawaDeterminants of Part-Time Working at Home: Evidence from Turkey pp. 189-200 Nebiye Yamak, Zehra Abdioglu and Sinem KoçakFinancial Inclusion and per Capita Income in Africa: Bayesian Var Estimates pp. 201-221 Raymond AlenoghenaEurope 2020 Strategy vs Global Environment Protection’s Challenge pp. 222-235 Romeo-Victor Ionescu and Luminita-Maria FilipOn a New Inequality Related to Consecutive Primes pp. 236-242 Reza FarhadianThe Relationship between Renewable and Nonrenewable Energy Consumption and Economic growth in G7 countries: Evidence from Bootstrap Panel Causality Test pp. 243-252 Uğur Pata and Harun TerziAnalysis of Natural Movement of Romanian Population During 2007-2014 - II pp. 253-400 Catalin Angelo IoanThe Impact of Public Expenditure on Economic Growth of Kosovo pp. 401-412 Driton Balaj and Lirim Lani 2017, issue 13(4)
